C only compiler

Is it possible to set MS Visual Studio for C only. No C++, no libs. Just a pure C compiler?

Try calling your program prog.c rather than prog.cpp
If that doesn't work, read this for /Tc options

I use MS Visual C++ 2005 and in addition to naming my C files .c, I also go into the project properties to the C/C++ -> Advanced tab. Then change the "Compile As" property to "Compile as C code" (i.e. the /Tc option that Salem mentioned).
