C:\NTPRofile issues

I have a computer that logs into the AD network just fine. However, just yesterday when the user logged on she noticed her wallpaper and all desktop items were missing.
I checker to see what profile she was on, and the path was C:\NTProfile. She should have logged onto the profile C:\Documents and Settings\etl5.

Anyone have any ideas why this may have happened? OS she is using is XP Pro
