Hello,

I get warnings that the C:\ drive of my SQL Server 7 is nearly full, and looking closer to the c:\ drive I found that there is about 1.28 Gb of dmp files in C:\mssql7\backup directory.

Are these files important?

Thank you

David

Not unless you are having issues with your server currently. Those dmp file are dump files that occure when SQL Server has a severe crash. They are sometimes needed to explore why a situation happened. If you call MS on a tech/help call, they will usually ask you to send them in.

SO ... you may remove them.

Thanks
