Hi. I have a 8710 system with 5 C-Lan cards installed.

When I do a 'status socket-usage' at SAT, I get the following output. It looks like the IP sets are favoring the clan in 1A04. Yes, this is the clan that the phones are set to boot to, but I thought that there was some dynamic load sharing between the C-Lans. Can anyone shed any light?

SOCKET USAGE

Can you do a list reg to get the actual clan that the phones are registering to.

What's the priority of every card and and are they allowed to accept ip phone registrations ?

If they are part of the same Network Region they are considered a pooled resource for that region.

bsmo, how do I find out the priority and whether the clan allows registration?

4merAvaya, should they not still load balance within the network region?

To determine the priority, 'disp ip-interface <slot>'

Hi jimbojimbo, all priorities for Gatekeeper for each of those CLAN cards is 5.

What version of CM are you using? The load balancing algo for CM2XX was a bit un-even. If not that try changing your DHCP and rebooting a few phones, you should see them go over.

Hi,

here is interseting question, The answer very simple.

1)When the agents/associates on the call if one CLAN goes down , the registered phones with that CLAN goes with Available CLAN by using the Mechanism of Load balancing.

This pririties we can do in DHCP server as primary and secondary
