Hello;
I am attempting to schedule a report to be directed to unmanaged disk to "my" local "C" drive - not the server's local "C" drive. My question is.. Is there a function inside of C.E. 9.0 that allows me to communicate to other "pc"'s outside of the domain that the C.E. server resides - or - how did anyone get theirs to work - help and thanks (The CE server is a Win 2000 attemping to talk to NT or XP boxes)

Thanks

You can do it by setting up a share on the destination pc, then in the destination put \\PCNAME\SHARENAME.

The one thing to watch for is that the Job Server has the necessary read/write access to the destination share.

To simplify your task, you might map a drive to the machine/folder of interest, then just use that drive letter.

You might even create a virtual directory in IIS to point to your local drive if you want to make the files available via a browser.

synapse...also has a valid solution to this, but remember that the account you are logged in to the machine will be the one that has access to the mapped drive. In this case, the ideal solution would be to log in as a specific user, map the drive, then set the Jobe Server to run as this account so the mapped drive is available.

Same deal with setting up printers. They are user defined and available to that profile.
