C: Drive window empty

When I go through My Computer and double click on my C: drive the window is empty. When I use explorer on it all the folders show up. I have made sure all is right in folder options and have used auto arrange to see if they'd snap back into the window. So even though it says there are 84 object present in the folder none are visable in the window. Any ideas on what to do ?

open My computer; click on [C:]; double-click the window control bar to maximise window to full screen and click Show All.

Do View -> List.

Sounds like the icons are all 'off the screen'. Sometimes happens to me when I copy files.
