C++ Cross-reference Software

We are looking for cross-reference software (for routine names and data labels)for C++ code. Thus far we have surprisingly been unable to locate anything. Any suggestions?

Which are inadequate for your purposes.

Which are OK, if only they did 'foo'.

Or "I like the foo feature of the bar product'.

What are you hoping to get out of this exercise - UML class diagrams perhaps?

For example, I use which can generate diagrams of class heirarchies.
I've also used to do much the same. It's not as slick as SI, but it is $0 cost.

We have inherited C++ code that contains a huge amount of dead code. We were looking for a tool that could help identify that code, or those portions of the code that are never referenced.
