Hi all,

I have got a weired problem with Visual Studio. I am trying to use C# as default compiler. what i am doing is after starting VS i select -> My Profile and then from Profile Combobox i select-> Visual C# developer. But by the time i select it Profile is changed instantly back to Visual Studio Developer. I don't know why?

Actually I installed VS with VB.net first and then couple of days back I installed C#. But I can't get my Visual C# IDE. I don't know why?

What can go wrong?
How can i check if Visual C# is installed properly?
Any other alternative way to do it?

regards,

rahman

What do you mean your C# IDE? The IDE should be the same for all .NET languages.

The different choices set up different controls within Visual Studio, for example, to step through a program is different under Visual Basic than Visual C++ or C#. That has been done to accomodate historical differences between the separate IDEs (in the past) for Visual Basic or Visual C++.

I don't believe that the setting of this option causes anything but essentially "cosmetic" changes to the interface. If you don't have this history, forget it.
