I have recently started with C after working with
interpreted languages for about a year.

I have noticed that it is very different and relatively
difficult to code in.
My question is: if speed is not really a concern
what are the limitations of using a language like
tcl or perl for my programming instead of C?
Also, how much flexibility am I giving up if
I only learn an interpreted language?

TIA

hi,

there is one more concern to interpreted languages, such programs shall run as long as u have a interpreter running.. so no low level stuff, kernel etc. without compiled languages

afaik, if those r not ur concerns perl can do all and even more.. but if u were so experienced in perl, C won't be too arcane for U :)

hth,
shail
