byteserving PDFs

How do you setup up byteserving on Apache? What directives control it?

I have recently upgraded our company's server(old server was setup by someone else). Now all our PDF files cause the browser(IE only) to crash. According to Adobe the server need to configured for "Byteserving". The PDF files are optimised and can be veiwed without problems on my personal website.
