bypass security with webquery

Using web query, I would like launch a request for more information from an excel book back to the web. This technique would pull data into an existing Excel book. My problem is that all of the information web sites are protected with security requiring authentication before releasing data. The excel webquery tool only retrieves the authentication page and does not wait and get the real data page from the web. When we remove the security from the site everything works ok, but of course this isn't an option for us.
