We have several users that have mapped their drives to the same place with different drive letters due to face that other departments cannot change their drive letter because of their access DB's, and we have to hit their databases.

Is there a way of bypassing the linked table manager settings in all my split databases and hard code the back end directory so I don't have to pull every developer in the company and have a meeting on where to place every database and then go around and change everyone's drive letters?

such as:
\\networkprod1\accounts\receivables\etc...

Your appear to be mentioning UNC Path Name Conventions... I also use this because of the same issues. You can map to the \\Server\directory\sub-directory\etc... as opposed to using a fixed drive letter.

You can also create some code to refresh linked tables. I previously (years ago) created a little table (hidden) in the MS Access DB that had all the DNSless commands to link tables... Then I just looped through a rs and performed the re-links each time the DB was openned...

Good Luck...
