bypass an Access 2000 password

Please help. I have an Access database that needs to be repaired. When I open the file, Access askes me for the password which I give it. I then receive a dialog box stating that the database needs to be repaired. "You or another user may have unexpectedly quit Microsoft Access while a Microsoft Access database was open. Do you want Microsoft Access to attempt to repair the database?" when i click yes, another dialog comes up say not a valid password. This is the onle password created for this database.

Is there any hope of recovery?
