BVI config 7515 router

I use bvi's for our dsl clients. I noticed when "sho ip interface bvi xx", there is a line that reads "Address determined by non-volitile memory". On several other bvi's that same line reads "Address detemined by setup command."
What is the difference between the two and how would each line affect that particular bvi?
