I need a copy of VFP 9 for a client. None of the usual suppliers (up to and including Microsoft Store) have it in stock in the UK. I can find one on-line supplier but is anyone else having dificulties getting hold of a copy?

Thanks. I'm so embarrassed to have overlooked QBS - have a star.

I've also found that Grey Matter in Ashburton have a copy.

The problem was that I've a client who plan to stick with Fox (and me) but want to buy their own development package whilst it was still available - just in case. They'd had problems finding it and were beginning to get a little worried. It'll be good for morale to be able to advise them of three suppliers.

Good to see that Grey Matter and QBS are both still around. They are both venerable vendors.

In the early days, if you wanted a copy of FoxBase or Clipper, or maybe Turbo Pascal, QBS would be your first stop.

Grey Matter got its start in life by offering a format-conversion service for floppy disks. You could send them a Superbrain disk and have the data moved to DEC Rainbow format, or perhaps that new CP/M format.

Ah, memories ...

Mike

It will still be available as part of an MSDN subscription.
That's really what triggered the problem. I've been using MSDN versions for so long that I just went blank when I had to look for a retail supplier. Not helped by "foxpro" failing to show up at all on Amazon or Microsoft Store.

Thanks for the Star!
