Buying and Installing a NT5B37GA-93 DID Trunk card?

We need to buy and install a NT5B37GA-93 Trunk DID card for our Norstar system. That is the product code on the current card, and we need the second card so that we can add additional incoming DID lines to our system.

My questions:

- do you know where we can get such a card? (the price being quoted by our official supplier is just outrageous)

- is it simple to install this card? (we will most likely ask our service provider to do the actual connecting up of the 4 new DID lines to the system, but I'm hoping that we can install the card ourselves)

Thanks in advance,

Steven

Give us a call. We have a couple of DID cards in stock. Installing is easy, just power down the trunk module, install the new card in the next slot, and then power on the trunk module. You will have to designate these trunks as DID instead of loop in line programming if an 824, and/or change card slot in Hardware programming if a MICS. Brian Cox

Go on eBay. They are a dime a dozen :)

The programming might be the tricky part. The nice thing is you can just power the Trunk Module down instead of the whole system. Put the card in a power it up. Then you will need to enable the card and do some other stuff.

At 8 DID trunks, it might be wise to start shopping for a T1 Carrier that can give you a good rate on an integrated T1. Then you can get DID, Local, Long Distance & 1Meg Internet all in one package. We pay like $800 for this senario in MA.

Some carriers will pay for the T1 card (XO does).
