Buttons shown then dont show

Are the buttons applets or graphic objects? The problem you are describing happens a lot with overloaded servers. Does the file work fine on you local machine and is the problem random and not necessarily associated with a certain graphic? If it does this is very likely to be the cause.
If you are experiencing the problem with the rollover images only, the problem could be related to rollover images corrupting during upload, not completing the image uploads or not being mapped properly.

The buttons are applets created in frontpage,The site is hosted on two different servers and the problem is random there are 6 buttons sometimes they show and other times they dont sometimes it will be just 1 missing and other times it is 2,3,4 it just depends.
Refreshing the screen doesnt do anything.
I have uploaded them direct from frontpage and from cute ftp.
If i had my way I would be using Dreamweaver but this site isnt mine its a project for a MBA that my girlfriend is doing so I cannot do it for her.
Any ideas
