What button can be programmed on my phone to show a users name if I dial their extension?
IE Push the mystery button
dial extension
see name on display.

I figure calling and hanging up on users is a bad idea.

I don't know of any button that u can put on the phone to be able to know who owns a particular extension, but if u have the PC application for Audix, Message Manager, u can put the extension in there and it will tell u the persons name.

why not do it in reverse and set up a directory button? If you know their name you can get the extension.

There is a way to do what you want:

- change system-parameters features.
- go to where it says:

Stations with System-wide Retrieval Permission (enter extension)
1: 52003 3: 53664 5: 7: 9:
2: 53430 4: 53408 6: 8: 10:

- enter your extension in one of the blank fields.
- Press enter. Then,
- change station xxxx (your extension).
- on your phone add a button for "cov-msg-rt". Press enter.

- Then on your phone you can press that button and punch in the persons extension you wish to look up. It will show their name.
- Press "exit" on your phone to return to normal.

Hope this works for you.
