Button to export selected email to .msg files

Currently our company is looking at a document management system and it integrates with Outlook. They tell me if we can create a msg file for our emails their software can import and store it within their DMS.

I'd like to know if anyone has done this and if so how. Ideally we would like to add a button to the Lotus toolbar to enable users to tick the emails they want, then select the button to convert to .msg and be picked up by the DMS.
