Button to access a PRI

I was told that someone programmed a button to access the PRI. By pressing this button you could make a outside call. I know you can program a pool access button, but this does not apply to a PRI circuit that I'm aware of. Is there a way to program a button on the phone to access the PRI or is someone mistaken. This is a bcm 4.0

The button is likely programmed to dial the routing code that accesses the PRI.......like "9". If you want to find out what's programmed on the button, just do a F*0 and press the button.....it will tell you what's on it.

along the lines of what telcodog said, the button is probably set up as an External Auto Dial button with just the desti Code assigned.
