button, sound on and off?

I want to have 2 buttons.. one that turns the music on and the other to turn it off. Now how Do I get the sound to start and stop?

If you want the music to be on at first (well as soon as the loop is downloaded!) as:

If you want the music off at first and have to switch it on as:

The second one has a (bonus) preloader also.

Note that both of these are short loops that repeat!

I used the example you gave, rave2.fla, to try this on my own and it seems I made a file with the exact same properties as your rave2 file. I used my own button and music but it won't play. Does the sound layer label come into play at all and I am not seeing it?
