Hi,

This is likely to sound pretty simple to the experts, but here goes. I've just started to use flash and have just finished learning how to create and assign buttons. One problem: when I play the movie, it doesn't stop when it comes to the button, but cycles all the way through, displays the hit states of the button for a fraction of a second and then loops back around to the start! There is probably a really easy way to halt the time slider when it gets to the button so that I can actually press the thing, but for the time being, it's fairly frustrating! I'd really appreciate any help anyone can provide because if I can get past this hurdle, I'll be OK the rest of the way.

Thanks everyone.

Just go to your last frame (your movie last frame) and add the action "stop" and the movie will stop playing when arrive at the frame with the code 'stop'

The stop action should look like this:

Code:
stop();

So, select the frame where you want your movie to stop then bring up the actions panel and put it in there. frozenpeas
