Button flash but no ring at times

Merlin Magix V4 key mode, "real" POTS lines, no TK-ID delay option. 4424D console set for ring immediate, others 44xxs set as delay. Customer says at times incoming calls "no Ring" just flash. I made numerous test calls, no failures.
I was thinking power unit but it tests good at each test point.

Has anyone ever had this trouble?

Are they already on another call when the "no ring" call comes in? If so, the magix will ring once, then flash to alert a new call is coming in by default.

And, the fix for this is............

SET ABBREVIATED RING to NO

I have to do that a BUNCH, especially when the client is new to the LEGEND/MAGIX.

This condition happens when the system console is idle.

I would say, just for grins, go ahead and change the abbreviated ring setting and see what happens.
