Button assignment on a "phone screen". Please help.

Hey,
I would ask you for buton assignment on Avaya Phones (e.g 9608,9650,4610)
It is possible to set the 'release'(or other except call-appr) button on a first list on a screen ('phone screen')?
If i replace the 'release' with one of these from first assignments (3x call-appr) it is not working.
I tried also divide a screen in a phone settings (phone screen - half) so then i got a 8 fields, and still cannot use 7 of these...
Could you help me please ?

Are you referring to the 4 softkeys? Have you looked into your 46xxsetting file?

I dont remember what you have to add to make use of non call-app button on the 1st screen but I know it can be done on the 9608 at least.
