Button actions........

Hi honey, I'm home......

I'm finaly back. With more questions then ever......

Here's my first...

I'm making a auto start CD Rom, well I have the auto start file and I can get the movie to come up but I want to have a button that say's exit and when you push it it closes the movie out... By tha by, it's going to be full screen...

Next question......

I'm going to have small programs that I made and I want to have buttons for each so when you push them it starts the setup.exe file automatic....

Old, Dav & Pat, I know you guys have the answers I'm looking for.........

Pat hasn't been around for a while. Dave also! But if you look down there in those threads... Dave posted lately he would be back within a few weeks. Virt is still around but double shifting this week... So he may or may not be around.
As for me... Quite busy, answering questions here and on another forum. Lufa will beat me up... I'm supposed to be working on his problem and I haven't started yet! Got to say hello to old friends!

dude you made it back..i was trying to get oldnewbie to help me write a script that would break you out but he wanted nothing to do with it..he says flash can't do that..but none-the-less i tried..

by the way try this in your button..i know it will close a projector but not sure about a local cd..maybe though, if not someone will get it to ya..

Ok! Our new expert Carl beat me to it! I was just about to post (as Luke WhiteTiger often does!) the same answer.
This on a exit button should work:
on (press) {
fscommand ("quit"
}
If you'll ever be using this through an html generated by Publish, I think you should also make sure, you've selected Flash with FSCommand in the template box of the html settings in Publish.

As for starting setup.exes, would you be doing this through Flash? If so, and not through some batch file on the cd, guess you could also use the FSCommand. Will look up what script you should be using (in my papers somewhere!)if that's what you want to do!
