but where i get ac97_codec and via82cxxx_audio?

Hi,
They are kernel modules which most distros would install on your system under the /lib/modules directory. For example if the kernel version were 2.4.2-2 they would be in:
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/sound/
(do 'uname -r' to get the active kernel version).
On 2.2.x series kernels I think they would be in :
/lib/modules/2.2.18/misc/
(or equivalent)
If you don't have the drivers for whatever reason you probably have to build a custom kernel.
