Hi There,

Would appreciate some advice on the following, we are running Call Manager 4.0 and I have three 7940 phones which each have the same shared DID line appearing on them.
Is there is anyway to give callers a busy signal on a single phone's shared line without affecting the other two shared appearances when they are short staffed?
It's something the users need to be able to control from the phone itself, is there a busy line button feature available.

Thanks

Chris

Try this. Use Extension Mobility. Create a Hunt Group Pilot with the shared line as the Pilot Number. Put 3 new DN's in the Hunt Group behind the pilot. Subscribe the phones to Extension Mobility. Put no DN or just a personal DN on the phone in Logout mode. When they are at the phone, have them Login with a Device Profile that contains one of the DN's in the Hunt Group. In this way no calls to the Pilot 'shared' DN will be delivered to the phone unless the user is Logged in.
This is how I got around lack of ACD before IP CC was available. You can even decide if you want a linear hunt or longest idle hunt.
