When *70 is dialed at any extension, there is a busy signal. What could be causing this?

Thanks

I believe *70 pages phones and overhead paging. If you don't have overhead paging this will cause a busy. Try Intercom 70 and it should page the phones.

Actually, since *70 hits the dedicated external paging port AND the extensions in Calling Group 1 (71), it means that there are no extensions assigned to that group.

Thanks guys. So I70 should work straight away, or would I need to assign extensions to a group?

I-70 is just the external paging - no extensions required
I-*71 is page calling group 1 - needs extensions assigned to work
I-*70 is Simultaneous Paging, to External AND Calling Group 1, won't work if there is no one in group 1

just like enabling privacy for each ext<#304>. best to put each ext in pickup grp 1 <#501> and call grp 1 <#502> unless they have two groups of exts
