We have two receptionists who answer incoming calls from a huntgroup. They have three call appearances, with the last one reserved.

Internal users call an internal-use-only huntgroup that rings the receptionists. We generally can't contact the reception users because of high incoming call volume to the main hunt group, so we just get a busy signal.

We were hoping to somehow ring their phones on the "reserved" call appearance. Is there anyway to do this?

Other ways to do this that I've considered:
- Enable call waiting? Will this impact the hunt group calls?
- Use a Priority call? Need further guidance...

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can make a group button for the internal group.
When some one calls the group then the button will flash.
This is the only way i think.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

That reserved call appearance is for outgoing only, so you cannot ring that one.
The group button option suggested by tlpeter is probably the way to go.

How about Collective Call Waiting on that specific internal-only huntgroup? Wouldn't that trigger the 2nd appearance on both phones? (Unless they're already doing a second call obviously, cuz of the "Reserve Last CA".)

Yep. Just turn off vm and turn on queueing and it'll keep ringing.

@AAcon: Are you suggesting that I make those changes in conjunction with NLPeterK's solution?

If I use Colletive Call Waiting on the internal-only huntgroup, do I also need to turn on call waiting for the receptionists who are members?

Early on I tried a similar approach, but found that the internal huntgroup calls were not ringing. The callers waiting in the inbound huntgroup/queue were taking preference.

Well, do one or the other. The group button wont make the phone ring, but will show that a call is there. If you just want the phones to ring, set them up as collective call waiting/queuing and ring the receptionists.

The call waiting feature is only for analog phones/phones without call appearances (that is, the setting on the user itself).
No need to turn that on.
