I have a customer that has BM12 modules attached to 9508's. Each extension is programmed for automatic intercom to a button on the BM12. They want the busy lamp to light if the user is on the phone. Is that possible? I can only get that to work if I set the button as a "user" Thanks!

But you should just have 1 "Dial Intercom" button not loads, you press that and then the user you want to intercom :)

create a shortcode that doesn't interfere with the dial plan for example extension are in 100s

create 3xxx/N/dial direct/0

change the buttons on BM12 to user

then press 3+the blf and you get what you want.

I created the SC 3xxx/N/dial direct/0, that works good for everyone that has the BM12's, but I have a few with just 9508's and when I press 3 then arrow over to access their name from the programmed buttons it doesn't work. I tested a few different scenarios in my lab and couldn't get it to work either.

Out of curiosity I just tried it and it works fine for me. You have to press 3 >change page> press key.

Use the button instead of the code as I suggested, that was the design intent so should work..... :)

Would it work if all phones always received Automatic Intercom calls from everyone? Turn on automatic answer internal at each telephone set.

I use the single button like amriddle suggested, I don't like burn up part of the dial plan (3 in your example) for a single feature. Great and bad thing about IPO is there is 99 different ways to accomplish the same thing.
