I am trying to create an good work flow for creating and re-using business views to support dynamic prompts in various crystal reports being developed by others.

The devloper has created multiple versions of each prompt group and now is having a hard time telling them apart so she can export them to xml and hand them off to change management for production publication.
I have gone in with her and without her multiple times and been able to figure out which prompt group she is using in a given report without too much difficulty.
But, she continues to have difficulty, and obviously we are not going about this the right way.
One thing she has recently tried: instead of using crystal reports to create the business view automatically she's gone into bvm to create the various parts of the business view, but then she can access these in crystal reports. I have checked permissions and these do not seem to be an issue.

My questions are: has anyone run into this problem of bvs created in bv mgr not visible in crystl reports?
Second, does anyone know of a white paper or documentation on a good work flow / step by step to create a bv in support of dynamic prompts?

I am continuing to look into this on the business objects site as well. Thanks for any info :)

I just read a the admin users guide for business views (boe xir2) and realized the main piece we are missing is the creation of a list of values in business view manager. After we did that, the business view became available within crystal reports.
The other piece, coming up with a good work flow, should be fairly do-able now that we know what the steps are.
