Business Objects Designer vs Crystal Reports

Business Objects Desktop Intelligence pros:
1. Able to interactively drill down and across multiple dimensions within the report viewer.
2. Able to have multiple tabs, each with an independent report. When the report is exported to Acrobat an index is created that links to the page of each individual report.
Crystal Reports pros:
1. Complete control over the appearance and behavior of the report.
2. Can connect to any data source easily. Does not need a universe to deliver the data the way that Deski does.
If your users have any kind of OLAP experience or need, they will be more comfortable with Deski. Otherwise, Crystal typically provides a more flexible reporting environment.
