Business Objects 6.5.1 Variable writing help

I have an object that can contain anywhere from 7-12 characters, possibly more. Example: LN0123

What I need to be able to do is remove the first to characters:LN and replace them with blanks.

I've attempted to use the replace function but I just cannot seem to get it right.

If you are using BO 6.5.1, then are you creating a Deski, Webi, or Crystal Report? FYI: This forum is only for Crystal Reports.
