Business Data Catalog filter by date

I have successfully set up a business data catalog and am displaying some data from a SQL db table using the business data list web part. One of the columns in the table is order_date.

How can I creat "From" and "To" date lookup fields, and have the bdc return only the records where the order_date falls between these two dates?

There isn't much documentation of BDC yet and I don't see any way to do this.
