once I have designed a business card, I need to set it up for a3 size printing.20 up or 21up
how do I quickly do this without manually doing the whole thing. I once saw a designiner do it automatically so I know it can be done.
Instructions refer to Draw V10 but I think are similar to previous and later versions.
1. Make your page size the size of card.
2. Design card as normal.
3. Add additional cards/pages using the + key (bottom left)
4. At print time from print preview use imposition layout tool and along top of page you can choose number up and along
5. Click Edit basic settings and from drop down choose "gutters and finishing" Red line determines which gutter is altered
6. Click on number and type in different number for different number configeration ie 4 up but 3 times page1 - 1 page2
7. Click on red arrow if you need cards upside down ie to make head to head
This print function in Draw is for me one of its major features, does even Quark or Indesign do this, this easy?

You can also setup your page via the Layout|Page Setup area and choose Labels. Then see if there are any business card layouts for your country. I know there are biz card layouts for the US in there.
If you find one of those there, it will show only one lablel, but when you print it will do 10-up.
Another way is to just customize the page layout to the size of your card (don't forget your bleed if needed) and then when you do File|Print go to the Layout tab and click Edit at the bottom of the tab area where it says Imposition Layout. Then on the Property Bar you'll see two areas with a "1" in it. Click on the up/down arrows to add/delete the # of times the item will be printed on the page.
You can then print out what you need. Of course, if you're sending this to a printer to do, just give them a PDF or EPS of the file as a single card and they will do the imposition.
I am working in ver 8. print/print preveiw does not have imposition ,cant find it even the word in help and the layout tab section also dosnt have edit?
You'll want to be more specific, then, when you ask for help. Draw is up to version 12. Unless you specifically mention your version, people will presume you're using the most current release.
I never used v8, but I have v7 and 9 thru 12... v9 has the imposition tool. v7 has something like the imposition tool, but not in the very usable form that versions 9 and above have.
