BUS SHARING QUESTIONS 1

I have a customer that wants to add a ASM8+.
Looking @ programming the MBM's are as follows.

BUS # Type
2 32 DSI-(only 1 32 DSI installed-ports 201-232)
3 32 DSI-(ports 301-332)
4 16 STATION DIGITAL-(ports 401-432)
5 DTM
6-1 CTM 8
6-2 CTM 8
6-3 CALLER ID TRUNK
7-1 CTM 8
7-2 CTM 8
7-3 CTM-8
7-4 CTM-8

This site is a BCM 400 3.7-(it was up-graded from a 1000)
and all MBM's were re-used.
Can I share bus 4 with the new ASM8+?
Looking @ the doc's-it does mention that when using full double density the mbm's must be the same kind when sharing the same bus.
These aren't DSM32+/DSM 16+ so im not sure if you can do FDD with these mbm's?
When looking @ port #'s in programming and you see 201-232-does this mean your set as FDD???
What is the difference between 32 DSI's & DSM 32+?
When the T-1/PRI is cut over-(bus 5)I will eliminate some of the CTM's-how ever I would like to add the ASM8+ ahead of time.
Any suggestions?

NO as you are using single Density MBM it only use's Ports 201 to 216 on BUS 2 and Ports 301 to 316 on BUS 3

32 DSI uses 2 BUS's a 32 + uses 1 BUS.

Replace the 32 DSI with a 32+ and then you can use BUS 3 for the ASM8+

In the config above if you replace a 32 DSI with a 32 DSM would your port #'s that were 301-316 become 217-232?
Would you have to re-program those ports?
Are 201-216 affected?

301-332 would become what ever MBM you made BUS 3, BUS 2 would now use ports 201 to 232 for Digital stations.

If I replace the 32 DSI with a 32 DSM-the ports that were 301-316-digital & now become 217-232-(digital)-do I have to re-program ports 217-232 & also the orginal 201-216?

You shouldn't have to, are the DN's in order now?
ie:221 to 252, if so they should stay the same.
