buried clips

I need help. I have movie clips nested within a clip and I am trying ot call to them from buttons inside the clip as well. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

The clip in question is the plat layer/ clip called plat. I am trying to code the 1B button with the gotoandplay action and I am stuck. can someone look at it and tell me what I am doing wrong?

hi there, i don't really understand because with your 1B button you want to trigger LOT1A ? i couldn't locate LOT1A .. concerning the actual movie clip instance 1B, i have tried to trigger it using _level0.plat.1B.blahblahblah
and it wouldn't go until i change the MC instance name 1B to something which doesn't start with a number.
tell me where is LOT1A..
