Bullets behaving badly

One user in our office is having trouble with bullet points. She is using the same normal.dot as everyone else, however when she clicks on the bullet button, it puts a bullet infront of EVERY line on the page (include footnotes & headers)
Any ideas??

quick and easy. Delete the normal.dot file and then open word and it will create a new one. Or copy the normal.dot file from a computer that is working and overwrite her normal.dot.

You might find that the Normal paragraph style has 'Automatically Update' selected (in the Style Modify dialogue box). This makes any change to one paragraph update all the other paragraphs of the same style.
