How do I adjust the second line in a paragraph to align with the first line in a bulleted or numbered list in Adobe InDesign CS2?

Thanks.

Not quite sure I understand the question, but I think you'll want to open "bullets and numbering" from the flyout menu in the paragraph window.

Select all the text you need and look at the "first line indent" section of Position. You'll want that to be zero. If you want to move the position of all the line beginnings relative to the bulletts, change the tab position.

Changing the Tab position only moves the first line of text. How can I change the text that wraps to the next line so that it aligns with the first line in a bulleted or numbered list?

Make sure that bullets and numbering position is Hanging

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Yes it's a hanging indent...

In you charactor pallet put say:

5mm on the left indent, then -5mm on first line, so it look like

hgjfksdhjgkfdsgfdsgfdfds
hjklhjklhjkhjklhjklhjkd
hjklhjklhjklhjklhjkhjkl
• jkl;dfjgkldfjkglfjlg
• jkgfldjgkfdgjklfdjg
