Bulk emailing from Goldmine

We have a database of approximately 30k customers/partners/suppliers we contact monthly via email. Until recently, we had a Goldmine administrator who manually dealt with all the unsubscribe/subscribe requests to our mailing lists. He would literally go through all the email replies and update their record in goldmine with their preferences. Not the picture of efficiency.

Well, we no longer have a goldmine administrator but we still have to send out all this mail and deal with the replies. I'm looking for a 3rd party email marketing software that can automatically handle the unsubscribes/ subscribes. But the tricky bit is that I want to be able to export a file (or just plug it into goldmine) and then automatically update the contact records in Goldmine (set up some sort of script perhaps).

Is this possible? Am I asking for the ridiculous? Thanks in advance for the help.

It is possible, and you don;t need any 3rd party tools to do this. Goldmine handles bulk emails by itself.

Look under help, index, email template, e-mail template, merge contact data into a selected template, and you will see exactly what you need to do for mass emails for GM v5 at least. I figure newer versions cannot be much different.
