I have an Access 97 database that contains a list of contacts and their email addresses.

I would like to use Outlook 2000 to send emails to these users on a periodic basis.

Is there an effective way of doing this, similar to the way that a mail merge works in WP software?

Yes there is it's VERY easy. All you need do is reference outlook in your VBA program (Tools, References) then use the data directly, no need to start outlook at all.

That is probably not possible as the Access database is part of a commercial application. Also we use Access 2000 in house and the specified database is Access 97.

Is it possible to do the work from within Outlook. If not, then would my best bet be using Access 2000? Can to do this without converting the database?
