I'd like to create an asp page with a text area that would look similar to a simple version of microsoft word. A user could enter in text and if the user highlights a word/paragraph then they could bold, italicize, underline, left justify, or right justify that word/paragraph and be able to save it to a database. Am i just dreaming or is this possible?...if so what is it called so I know where to begin to research how to do this?

Hello. If you are using dreamweaver you can use the On-Line Editor extension, from If not, you should get a trial, install the extension, and get the code (javascript) that is generated by the extension. I think it's not illegal, check the site for details. The extensions work GREAT. It's like having Word inside a plain HTML page. Hope this helps.
