hi there
i'm new to ASP vbscript and currently trying to use mysql

i have news table with news_title and news_body column
how to retrieve the news_ title and news_body where the news_title linking to complete news_body text, and news_body only displaying 100 words and "..."

You could use the VBScript Left() function to take only the leftmost 100 characters... but you might also be able to change your SQL query so that the database only gives 100 characters in the first place.
