building a very mini render farm

Hi
I have access to 15 sun sparc 5 machines with solaris 7 loaded on.
Can some pls advise me on how I would go about greating a video render farm.
Basically I want to encode large sets(50GBx20 films) of uncompressed avi mpjeg to mpeg2.

My main master machine is a sun ultra 5 with solaris 9 beta.

Why don't you try to use the Sun grid engine ?
