Hello,

I am trying to build a Option 11C to retrain myself on this switch(looking for a better job). I have been working for a telecommunications company but all we work on
are the smaller key systems and The last time I went to Nortel training was back in 1997 and trained on release 23. My memory has faded so any help from you would be greatly appreciated.
What I have so far is a new Option 11 cabinet, NTDK78AA, SSC-NTDK20DA with a NTDK81AA daughter board and security device mounted on it, a NT8D02AB and a NT8D14AH.
Would I be able to use the system as I have it here? Is the SSC card missing anything (software?) or is it build in? Can I default the system to the factory password settings? Any additional information would be appreciated?
Thanks Tony J

Didn't you ask these same questions on pbxinfo.com?
Did you do the things they suggested?
have you tried turning the switch on?

Yep I sure did. I am still trying to get into the switch. The questions I'm asking here were not answered on the other site. Maybe someone here can answer the questions posted. Thanks

Hello,

The switch comes on. The station card works, the trunk card has a red light on it. When you pick up the hand set you hear system dial tone but the phone on the display ask what type of phone (20)?. I cannot log into the system. I've tried 0000, nortel, do you know of any other default passwords that I can use to reset the password in LD 17?

Thanks TJ

You need the password, Nortel can recover it for you or you can try to locate a company with an engineer to do it. It is not easy or cheap.

Thanks John,

The little security dongle on the card, if you reset it do anything? Where actually is the password stored?

Thanks TJ
