I'm in the process of building a DNS server for our dmz.

It's going to run on Solaris 8 and probably bind 9 as per our standards.

I've been doing some reading up on how to set up a chroot server and I have a fairly good idea how to go about it, however I would be interested in hearing from other people and any suggestions you might have on how to harden it would be great.

Read the DNS hardening guide at cisecurity.org.
