Hello,

One question for you guys: I have a printer a Kyocera KM-4050,
put in network at my job and sometimes it start to print hundred of pages, with different letters and numbers which does not make any sense, so if you met something like this and you can help me with a solution or sugestion it would mean a lot.

Regards

it sounds like a completely wrong print driver is being used for the printer. Did Kyocera supply a print driver?
If so have you checked for an updated driver? You should be able to stop the printer and delete the report either from the printer menu or system spool menu.

The problem is that until few weeks ago it worked just fine and no one changed the drivers from the server, and the fact is i just see the jobs on the printer menu and not in the spooler, it is very strange!!!!!

Someone is sending a large job with a postscript driver.
Check all workstations for drivers installed locally.

Typically when a printer prints a string of alpha numberic keys (only a line or two) there is a communications problem between the print server and printer.

Not sure why it happens, but if a printer doesn't receive a complete file, it will "wig out" and beging to print a line or two of jumbled text. I have been able to solve this in the past by cancelling the print job on the printer itself and remove all jobs on the server until the printer is back in a ready mode.

Does the printer have an on-board NIC? It may need a firmware upgrade. Or replaced.
