BUG6304 message in LD 43

While attempting a backup in LD 43, ie, EDD command I got the following message that inhibited me from proceeding with my backup:

BUG6304
APIF Security check failed
the interface is already busy.

Does anyone know what this is? Also, what needs to be done so I can proceed with my backup?

If after some time you still can not do backup you may have a currupt drive. Call your service provider.

They will have Nortel recover a backup, and then they will need to reload the software.
