Hi

I am new to Crystal Enterprise and I have installed Business Objects 11 on windows 2000 server, when I check the "Central Configuration Manager" there is only one "Crystal Reports Page Server", how ever if I open Windows Task manager there are 2 "pageserver.exe" are running. What is the reason? is this to do some thing with configuration??

Interestingly, the short answer is: Feature.

My first thought was that you had an orphaned process, but no, you are correct XI creates 2 pageserver processes for every Page Server. (Unlike previous versions).

It looks as though the Page Server has been redesigned in XI to spawn a child process (like a Job Server) however it is confusingly also called Pageserver.exe - Hopefully this should result in a more stable service.

Could it be one Page Server Process for Crystal XI and another for BusinessObjects Webi XI?
