I have developed a workflow system that takes scanned images and adds
them to a lotus notes database. This is acomplished using standard Lotus
API's. This works fine most of the time but occasionaly when multiple
pages are scanned and added to one lotus notes document field (Rich
text) the following error message is shown when a user attempts to open
the document:
"Warning: Ignoring portion of document that uses a feature from another
version of lotus notes"
This is not the case. All development within Notes/Domino and the Lotus
API's used are version 5.
I found a lotus customer support technote regarding this on the lotus
site
This accepts that this is a lotus bug and that an SPR number has been
assigned to this (SPR #EDHN4R5FDA). however there is no mention of this
spr in the lotus bug fix database and lotus will not even let me know if
or when thay are planning to solve this bug unless I buy a support
contract.
Is there anyone who can either give me a solution to this problem or
else find out when or if lotus do intend to fix this.
